Metamorphosis Of Aryavarth

Metamorphosis of Aryavarth

History has always been written by the conquerors in the world. It is a subject used by the rulers, colonials and the conquerors to set up a narrative which works itself to fit in the ideology of Grand Narrative.

Grand Narrative is a tool used by all the successful leaders, nations, kingdoms, and companies in general for a strong identity. Identity plays an important role in a nation building and civilizational essence. Until and unless civilizational essence is added to the nation building, the nation remains as good as identity-less built on borrowed up identity pillars of the colonial countries. Colonialism is of two types again; one is the direct colonialism and second is the Intellectual Colonialism.

History has always been biased, a tool for triggering an agenda by the colonials and conquerors. Similarly, the history which we globally accept in the world today is a product of European Supremacy- Grand narrative. Civilizations which existed before the Greeks (which is the oldest recorded civilization in the history of Europe) no matter how magnificent and advanced it might have been, their significance were nullified in our textbooks to a great extent. Dates have been ever since slyly shifted backwards with constant revision.

A lot of the major chunks of the advancements of earlier civilizations of Mayans, Nordic, Celtic, Egyptian, Hindu and Persian have been ignored to the maximum and replaced by the invader’s written history. We are never taught about the indigenous race of New Zealand, Australia, American continent in our history lessons. The widely accepted American history starts from the colonial’s invasion in American continent.

India is a great example for omitting out its own history and replacing it by the invader’s version of history and their lifestyle, which has no connection to the cultural identity of the land, ethnicity and lifestyle of a common man. Persian culture, lifestyle and language was imposed on the Bharatvarshis by the ruling dynasty which proclaimed itself to be Royal for generations, yet failed to serve its own countrymen and work in the interests of a common man. Irony of our cultural literacy is that the younger generations hardly know anything about the Khalsa Empire and Maratha Empire history whereas our textbooks are full of the details about what Akbar and Jahangir liked to eat, see, listen and do in their free time.  There is no issue in learning about the invaders lifestyle or borrowed up traditions and lifestyle and cultural essence from the distant lands. But the problem remains in discarding our own knowledge and understanding of our identity and living on the imposed and outlandish idea of life.

Decaying of Sanskrit has affected the Sanskriti of Bharat, which we should be concerned about. But the main objective of this post is not to talk about the lost history of Bharat but to throw light on how the entire macrocosm has worked itself to shape the civilizations which has resulted in human expansion, in terms of consciousness. And that human consciousness has again resulted in how we perceive the universe. Universe is that material which molds itself into what we really want to believe, because in practical field that is variable for each living being.

Going back to the history which was labelled as mythology by the westerners does not stand all alone which has been neglected for a long time. There are many more “mythologies” which has been neglected due to Sophisticated Barbarianism and tried hard to be drained off. Mayans, Celtic, Nordic, Egyptian, Slavic, Mesopotamians- philosophy, astronomy, science seems to meet at many different junctions which can make us wonder if all of it has same ground.

These junctions where all of this theory seems to meet together might require another post of this blog to explain in detail. But one can always refer to how Mayan Civilization was heavily influenced by the Vedic society (the epitome of Vedic culture-between Indus land to Sindhu Sagar) which might land us to a scientific reasoning for why the humans (our ancestors) of that time, their thought process and derivations to their works on astronomy particularly seemed to have intersected with different theories from distant lands at some point of expansion.

Why is it important for us to refer history?
To connect dots; as Steve Jobs often believed in.
To not only refer and learn from the past deeds and mistakes but also to notice the graph of civilization radiance.

So, from this point onwards let’s dive inside the history of Aryavarth!
This history is not well understood by the western historians and deliberately forgotten only to be labelled as “myth”.
I do not claim that Ancient Bharat is the only civilization to have a history predating the rest. As mentioned above, the monotheistic idea played a crucial role in wiping out an advance history of Egypt, Greeks, Romans only to be labelled as Mythology.

But what can’t be denied is that the most ancient advanced civilization had been the Aryavarth. What is Aryavarth?

Aryavarth is the land of Aryans. Aryan should not be confused with a race which invaded Bharat because that is a part of racial theory introduced by the intellectual colonials to imbibe a feeling of racial supremacy and create a crack.
“Arya” is a Sanskrit word for noble man and Aryavarth is the land of Arya or Aryans (anglicized).
It was very common for a queen or a wife to call her husband “Arya”.
Aryavarth is nothing more than a name for the piece of land which was the home to the world’s greatest civilization of that time.  There was a certain pride to be a part of Aryavarth at that timeline of the history when rest of the world was in a primitive stage of life. Aryavarth was the region which ran from the east of Afghanistan to the east of Indian subcontinent. This included parts of Afghanistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province (Pakistan), Punjab (including Pakistan’s province, Indian state of Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana), Sindh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Deccan plateau, Bihar, Bengal (Bangladesh and West Bengal), Assam, Manipur, Nagaland rest parts of North-East India.
This region collectively called as Aryavarth was the epitome of Vedic Civilization which in total housed 16 major Kingdoms of the civilized world, also coined as 16 Mahajanapadas.
Some of the well noted kingdoms were Kuru-Rashtra, Panchal, Gandhar, Vidarbha and Magadha. Though this was the land often referred as Aryavarth, the land was divided between two royal lineages- Chandravarshis and Suryavanshis.
Also, it is unfair to say that this was the only region with Hindu Kingdoms.

One must understand the difference between Hindu civilization and Vedic civilization. A Vedic civilization was the province or state which was governed using the oldest written text on world- Vedas. Though the Vedas were written after the Aryavarth dissolved and disintegrated, but the knowledge of Vedas was orally transmitted and memorized. Absurd it may sound but it was very common and an easy task for the maharishis and sages to gain the knowledge of entire Vedas through the intuitive thinking and connecting threads of cosmos which exists multidimensionally.

Whereas a Hindu kingdom was based on the Hindu culture and practices and need not be a state governed using Vedas. Hindu Civilization extended the borders of North-east India, as it went on to flourish till the region of Cambodia, Indonesia, Thailand, Java and Burma. It had a strong influence in the Baluchistan region, Pre-Islamic and Pre-Zoroastrian Iran, Bactria, Parts of Uzbekistan connected to Wakhan Corridor. There is also a well erased history by the communist lobby in India which is about the Hindu artisans, engineers, architects and traders who travelled to Syria, Jordan and other parts of middle east for establishing a civilized settlement.

It should be well noted that these regions were not a Hindu colony as Hindus never colonized ever! It was a settlement in which the indigenous population was well mixed with the Hindu settlers. All of these events predate the Islamic, Christian, Anglican, Greek, Egyptian and Mesopotamian history. Dates have still not been revised by the western historians and writers and the Indian historians. Those who are willing to correct this are under a direct intellectual attack by the Communist and Urban Naxals.
“Hindu” word was coined by the Persians for those who lived between the stretches from the Sindh river to Sindhu Sagar (ocean).

Persians found it tough to pronounce “Sa” and Sindh, hence their pronunciation gave birth the word HINDU.
Hindu being a geographical identity and Hindustan, the name of subcontinent. Quite similar to Europeans living in Europe.

The next part of “SYNONYM OF TIME” will focus on the political crisis and natural calamity which led to the Fall of Aryavarth and a temporary Nadir.

  1. Very insightful (interesting) read.. Appreciate the author's detailed study and presentation of this blog.
Its lmportant to do a factual study of our history and its contributions, which this blog does wonderfully.

  2. If you have carefully read Romil Thapar and Ram Guha, even they would have agreed to some of your view points.

Dividing history into Hindu, Muslim and British doesn't make sense. But the govt including today doesn't listen to put in effort to revise it.

Second, where is your research? When did we really study Greeks and not others? I have read NCERT books. Not sure what history have you read. But the focus in my books were on India. Even limited on China.

Third, I am pained to see the map you chose. Kaikayi in Burma? This casts so many doubts on your reasearch and material used.

In the end, it is largely your perception devoid of serious research.

And for Aryan Invasion. Please read the latest DNA studies and try to poke hole in that before claiming your perceptions to be facts.

    1. You'll find all the answers to your questions in the next article (because it's a 3 part series). Read "Fall of Aryavarth" Which has given the exact map with details and sources. Plus, this map is just an artist illustration who happens to be from London. Nowhere it's claimed that these are the 16 Mahajanapads. Rakhagarhi DNA study too is mentioned in next article. Kindly read the next article for clarifications. Meanwhile, this was just for base.

Is Logic styling itself into Dogma?

We all have grown up grown up listening to our teachers, professors and from over all academia and even reading about it that how Dharmic stories are fictional or if refined further with a seeker attitude that these Puranic stories are personification of certain elements or attributes. Puranas and Vedas for obvious reasons appear out to be completely fictional to the rational human mind and it is obvious. People find it comparatively easy to digest other 2 Itihaas documents/poetry like Ramayana and Mahabharata while Puranas appear to be more abstract to the human mind. The major question arises here, is it personification of certain concepts to teach lessons to the humans or is it all real? Art by Develv (Deviant Art): Portfolio. Majority of the people will go out with the first option because of the in drilled “scientific temperament” by the institutions which are the reservoir of coloniality in Bharat and rest of the world. It compels you to weigh the stories with the lens of lo

Aryavarth Descends

Aryavarth in general is a term for the northern part of India, Pakistan, East Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Assam. This doesn’t mean that the “Dakshina” (Southern India) was never a part of Bharat Civilization. Aryavarth is the geographical region where the Civilized Kingdoms, Vedic kingdoms existed. As the name Arya means noble and civilized (in Sanskrit), Aryavarth simply meant the region of major Civilization. Aryan and Dravidian are not a separate race as Max Muller suggested. The theory has been debunked by the recent DNA study in Rakhagarhi Project. Theory of Aryan Dravidian was a construct to divide the society and brea
